Costa Rica coach Ricardo LaVolpe made his debut Wednesday night in a scoreless exhibition game against Jamaica.
Oscar Duarte had Costa Rica's best opportunity in the 73rd minute but Jamaica goalkeeper Dwayne Miller stopped Duarte's header inside the 6-yard box.
Costa Rica goalkeeper Keilor Navas was busier, making a diving stop on Keammar Daley's shot early in the second half. Jamaica had another scoring threat in the 69th minute but Lovel Palmer's shot hit the right post.
Jamaica beat Costa Rica 1-0 in an exhibition Sept. 5 in Kingston.
LaVolpe, who coached Mexico to a 2006 World Cup berth, was hired as Costa Rica's coach in September.
