Clarets confirm David Fishwick change
This season the stand was segregated to allow season ticket holders to sit behind the goal. However, the cost of policing 275 fans next season has been deemed uneconomical following relegation from the Premier League. "Last season it was a difficult decision to consider offering a portion of the David Fishwick Stand to home supporters as the police would only allow in season ticket holders, not match-by-match supporters," said chief executive Paul Fletcher. "The cost to Burnley Football Club was over £100,000 but this was justified by the fantastic take-up of seats. "Obviously this [coming] season is much different and the £100,000 cost for less than 300 supporters, when there are vacant seats in other parts of the stadium, is not economical." As a result supporters will be relocated to other parts of the ground at no extra cost.
