Chile midfielder Medel joins Inter Milan from Cardiff City
Gary Medel trained with his new Inter Milan team-mates for the first time on Monday after leaving Cardiff for the Serie A giants.
The Chile midfielder, who has reportedly moved to San Siro for £10million, was pictured on Inter's official website taking part in a conditioning session with his new Nerazzurri colleagues.
Neither Inter nor Cardiff have confirmed the size of the fee paid for Medel, 27, but his career with the relegated Bluebirds is over after he made just 34 league appearances for the Welsh club.
At Inter he will play alongside French loan signing Yann M'Vila in midfield, the pair supporting on-loan Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo and providing a layer of protection for former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, who has been installed in the heart of the Nerazzurri defence.
Medel has collected 61 caps for Chile and helped the South American nation reach the knock-out stages of the World Cup finals in Brazil.
Medel said: "I'm really happy to have joined a great club where there are lots of great players. Hopefully my teammates and I will be successful this season."
