Chicharito caps Bayer Leverkusen's stunning 3-goal comeback at Schalke

It's official: Bayer Leverkusen are the comeback kings of the Bundesliga.

Shades of Bayer's three-goal rally against Augsburg in early March materialized at Schalke on Saturday, after Leverkusen erased a 2-0 halftime deficit in the blink of an eye.

Schalke's Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Leroy Sane netted twice in the opening half hour to have the hosts feeling pretty good going into the break. But as we've grown accustomed to time and again, 2-0 is the most dangerous lead in football for a reason!

Nineteen-year-old Julian Brandt scored for his fifth game running to give the Bayer a lifeline nine minutes into the half, before Karim Bellarabi expertly took a ball out of the air to level the match at two apiece just two minutes later.

Then, Chicharito happened.

Simply remarkable.

In case you weren't counting, that was the visitors' third goal in six minutes -- and Javier Hernandez's 26th in all competitions. There was no coming back from that for Schalke, and Roger Schmidt's side went five points clear of Hertha Berlin in 3rd place with the victory.
