Chelsea drawn against Danish champs
Chelsea have been drawn to face FC Copenhagen in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Carlo Ancelotti's men enjoyed a comfortable passage through the group stage with five wins and just one defeat and their search for an elusive Champions League crown now takes them to Denmark.
The Blues' season has taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks but they will fancy their chances of advancing in the competition and reaching the final at Wembley in May.
Copenhagen, who became the first ever Danish team to qualify for the last 16 are currently midway through their domestic season, but are well on track to claim their ninth league title once the campaign resumes in March.
Ancelotti warned that there could not be any complacency from Chelsea.
He said: "Copenhagen had very good performances in the group. They were able to draw against Barcelona at home and away - I watched them and they played a good game.
"They don't have a lot of experience in the Champions League but obviously we have to pay attention.
"They have a possibility as well to prepare for the game physically because now they have a [winter] break."
FC Copenhagen coach Sol Solbakken has acknowledged that his side will be at a severe disadvantage with their tie taking place during the Danish League's winter break.
Solbakken told Sky Sports News: "That's the biggest disadvantage. We have played in Europe during this time previously. We played Marseille last year (in the Europa League) and we matched them for 60-70 minutes in both games but then we struggled as we had only played practice games and we struggled to keep up with the tempo."
But Solbakken is not writing off Copenhagen's chances of pulling off a major upset against Carlo Ancelotti's side, particularly if they can perform well with home advantage in the first leg.
"We have not been beaten at home in the Champions League and we have played Barcelona and Manchester United," he added. "Our best chance is to play out of our skins to keep the second game interesting. Football is football and anything can happen, no-one thought we could come this far.
"It's very difficult for us but we are looking forward to playing a great team with a great history and it's good to have the first game at home."
