Edinson Cavani's injury-time winner took Napoli into the knockout round of the Europa League, giving the Italian team a 1-0 win over Steaua Bucharest on Wednesday.

The Uruguay forward, who had troubled Bucharest's defense all match, headed home Marek Hamsik's corner to take Napoli through at the expense of the Romanian team.

Napoli qualified in second place from Group K, behind Liverpool.

Napoli will be without Paolo Cannavaro for the first match in the last 32. The center back was sent off for a second yellow card just before the final whistle.

Cavani was earlier denied on two occasions by goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu.
