Real Madrid's Iker Casillas and Chelsea's Petr Cech are among the five goalkeepers shortlisted by FIFA and FIFPro for their annual World XI squad.
Casillas is looking to win for the fifth time in a row after the 31-year-old Spain keeper won a second European Championship title and the Spanish league with Madrid.
Cech helped Chelsea win the Champions League and the FA Cup last season.
Also on the list announced Monday are Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer, Manchester City keeper Joe Hart and Juventus' Gianuigi Buffon.
Bayern finished runner-up in the Champions League, while City and Juventus both won their domestic league titles.
The winner will be announced at the FIFA Ballon d'Or Gala on Jan. 7 2013.
