The player ratings website bearing the name of Fabio Capello has moved to distance itself from the England coach following his public disavowal.
The so-called Capello Index website now carries a 300-word statement that says Capello contributed only in ''laying down of the foundations of this project.''
It adds that ''the Capello Index cannot and must not be summarized as the vote given by Capello to the players.''
The commercial venture went live last week. It had been postponed until after the World Cup because of Capello's involvement.

Capello has said he did not authorize the launch and was ''angry the index was published.''
The site has also removed its ratings on England's underachieving World Cup players.
