Cameroon's football federation has suspended its captain Samuel Eto'o for 15 matches as punishment for his part in a players' strike last month.
After playing in a tournament in Morocco, Eto'o and his teammates refused to travel for a scheduled friendly in Algeria on Nov. 15, saying the federation had not fulfilled promises to pay appearance bonuses. The match was subsequently canceled.
Along with Eto'o, vice-captain Enoh Eyong was banned for two matches, while Benoit Assou-Ekotto was fined $1,986 in a judgment released by the federation on Friday.
The three players were given 10 days to appeal.
