Brito: Mourinho better than Guardiola
Jose Mourinho's former assistant, Baltemar Brito, believes the new Real Madrid coach is superior to Barcelona's Pep Guardiola.
"For me he (Mourinho) is the best coach in the world," he told Ona FM. "Better than Guardiola? He has won more titles than him.
"I don't know Guardiola well enough, because he hasn't been around so long, but I think he (Mourinho) is a bit above him."
Barca have been the team to beat at home and abroad the past two seasons, and they claimed an astonishing six trophies last year before successfully defending their Primera Division crown.
But Brito believes Mourinho has the Catalan giants running scared.
"Mourinho is an extra motivation for the Barca players. That's why the Catalans and the Barca players are worried about him," he added.
The Brazilian coach remembers that Mourinho was given a hostile reception when he took Chelsea to the Nou Camp, but says the the former Barca assistant coach will be focused on Madrid and not on gaining revenge.
"His objective is not Barca, but to win titles and be champion of Europe (with Madrid). I was witness to how he wasn't well received by the crowd at the Nou Camp and I don't understand it, because they had no reason for it," he said.
