BOURNEMOUTH, England (AP) Premier League newcomer Bournemouth has signed Ivory Coast winger Max Gradel on a four-year deal from French side Saint-Etienne.

The 27-year-old Gradel joined for an undisclosed fee as Bournemouth prepares for its first ever season in England's top flight.

Gradel, who has made 41 appearances for the Ivory Coast, scored 17 goals in 23 appearances for Saint-Etienne last season in the French first division.

He previously played for Bournemouth in the 2007-08 season - in two separate loan spells from Leicester - and for Leeds in 2010.
