Rodgers admits his side dipped below the standards expected of them in their 3-1 defeat away at Norwich last Saturday. The 38-year-old also acknowledges that it has been his job to pick the squad up this week as they prepare for the trip to Molineux. After watching the way his players have responded in training the former Reading and Watford boss is confident they will put in a much improved performance than the one seen at Carrow Road. "It's like the young bird that falls out of the nest," Rodgers told the South Wales Evening Post. "Everyone expects it to fly, but sometimes it drops to the floor. "What's important when that happens, like when your team drops, is that you pick it up so it can fly again. That's my job this week. "There will be some disappointments, but what gives me great hope is that my players want to improve. "We are very much one group, and they know as well as I do that last Saturday was a disappointment for us. We all want to be better when we go to Wolves." Despite beginning the season among the favourites for the drop, Swansea have made a soild start to life in the top flight and could even climb into the top ten with a win over Mick McCarthy's men. However, Rodgers was quick to urge perspective, insisting the club still have plenty of scope to improve. "The bigger picture is that we, Swansea City, are sat 13th in the Premier League," added Rodgers. "We are 13th in the most competitive league in the world and we still have a great deal of improvements to make. "Our culture is to focus on the positives, and there were some good elements to our play at Norwich. But some of our nuts and bolts which are normally in place just loosened a bit. "We will tighten them up this week and we will really look forward to putting things right at Wolves."
