Besiktas signs Portuguese trio

Besiktas has officially unveiled Portugal internationals Simao Sabrosa, Hugo Almeida and Manuel Fernandes.

The three signings were presented Monday, joining fellow Portuguese Ricardo Quaresma and Spanish former Real Madrid captain Guti in Istanbul.

Besiktas is 5th in the Turkish league, trailing 14 points behind leader Trabzonspor.

Sabrosa was a star winger with Atletico Madrid, while forward Almeida joins from German side Werder Bremen.

Midfielder Fernandes has arrived on a loan from Spanish club Valencia.
