Bordeaux striker David Bellion will spend the second half of the season on loan at his former club Nice.
The deal will be finalized on Tuesday after Bellion will undergo a medical, Nice said in a statement.
Bellion joined Nice in 2006 after leaving Manchester United, where he spent three seasons after a spell at Sunderland.
He was sold to Bordeaux in 2007 and scored 19 league goals in three years but has played only two games since Jean Tigana took over as coach following the departure of Laurent Blanc at the end of last season.
