Barcelona defender Dani Alves has broken his collarbone and will miss the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao on May 25.
The Spanish club says that the Brazil international was hurt in practice and was to have surgery on Wednesday.
Alves also figures to miss Brazil's exhibition games against the United States on May 30 at Landover Md., Mexico on June 3 at Arlington, Texas, and Argentina on June 9 at East Rutherford, N.J.
Barcelona was already missing defenders Carles Puyol and Eric Abidal for the match against Athletic. Pep Guardiola will coach his last game with the team after winning 13 titles in his four-year stint.
