Barcelona says it has signed backup goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto to a one-year contract extension.
The Spanish and European champion did not disclose financial details but said the deal keeps the Spanish keeper in the team until the close of the 2012-13 season.
The 36-year-old Pinto has been Barcelona's first-choice goalie in the Copa del Rey since joining from Celta Vigo in January 2009.
Pinto helped Barcelona win its record 25th domestic cup in 2009 and led the Catalans to the final last year, where it lost to Real Madrid 1-0 in extra-time.
