Atletico Madrid has signed winger Juanfran Torres from Osasuna on a four-year deal that ties him to the Spanish club until 2015.
Spanish media reports say Atletico paid just over ?4 million ($5.2 million) for Juanfran, who is expected to take Simao Sabrosa's spot after the Portuguese winger left for Besiktas.
Atletico coach Quique Sanchez Flores selected Juanfran in his squad for Thursday's Copa del Rey quarterfinal match against Real Madrid after he passed his medical Wednesday.
Juanfran, who turned 26 on Sunday, came up through Real Madrid's academy and also played for Espanyol before joining Osasuna during the 2006-07 season.
He scored 12 goals in 148 league appearances for Osasuna.
