Arshavin: We must win all 12
Andrey Arshavin believes Arsenal must win every remaining game to have a chance of lifting the Premier League title this season.
Having seen their title hopes written off for a second time this term after back-to-back defeats by Manchester United and Chelsea, the Gunners reignited their ambitions on Wednesday night.
Abou Diaby's header secured a 1-0 home win over Liverpool to reduce the gap at the top to six points after leaders Chelsea lost at Everton.
Arshavin was pleased with the performance against Liverpool and has now challenged Arsenal to win their closing 12 matches of the campaign.
"After these results, it looks possible," Arshavin told his personal website. "The gap was reduced to six points.
"Of course, today's result is good for us, but if we want to be champions we have to win all our remaining games. It's difficult to say whether it's possible.
"Back to the Liverpool game, I think there were nearly equal teams playing. I liked the way we played.
"We were not afraid to play, the whole team was well co-ordinated. If I can say so, all Arsenal players played the same football, that is we understood each other and combined."
Arshavin was replaced midway through the second half of the game by Theo Walcott and the Russian schemer confirmed he will have a scan on a leg injury.
He added: "It is hard to say (how serious it is), I'll have my leg scanned.
"I haven't seen the goal because of that (injury). I was in the room under the stands with the doctors."
