Arsenal will return for Adrien Rabiot in January
Arsenal will return for the PSG midfielder in the winter window
Arsenal have been heavily linked with PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot for the better part of two years. The Gunners may finally complete a deal for the talented Frenchman once the January transfer window opens.
The 21-year-old has once again expressed his desire to move to the Premier League via the French media. He told reporters from Telefoot that England’s top flight was essentially the epitome of what competitive football should be. It amounted to a come and get me plea to the handful of Premier League clubs that have expressed interest in Rabiot over the past several transfer windows.
Look for Arsenal to finally seal the deal for Rabiot in January. Manager Arsene Wenger has come under increasing pressure to add high-priced talent via the transfer market and adding the Frenchman could ease some of the pressure. PSG aren’t going to give him away, but he also wouldn’t require the Gunners to break the bank to secure his services.
After all, Arsenal are always keen to add French talent. Additionally, they could use a player like Rabiot who could provide cover in both the defensive and attacking midfield positions. His acquisition could also reassure stars like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez about the club’s level of ambition moving forward.
Rabiot to Arsenal just fits the type of transfer that Wenger prefers perfectly. The club have extensively scouted him, he won’t break their transfer budget, and he’s young enough to develop at the club for a number of years. It’s a deal that almost makes too much sense not to be completed.
Adrien Rabiot should finally get his Premier League wish this winter. Look for him to make the move from PSG to Arsenal when the winter transfer window opens.
