Antonio Conte has been appointed coach of Juventus after he agreed to a two-year deal with the two-time European champion on Friday.
Conte joins Juventus from Siena, which he guided to a promotion to Serie A this season. It was the second time he led a team into the top flight, after Bari was promoted in 2009.
The former Juventus captain replaces Luigi Delneri, who failed to take Juventus into Europe with a seventh-place finish in the league.
Juventus president Andrea Agnelli told reporters ''we want to be winning and we want to get back to doing so under Antonio Conte. He is the first piece of the jigsaw that will get us back to winning ways.''
