Amauri injury relief for Juve
Juve coach Luigi Del Neri could be excused for breathing a sigh of relief after discovering Amauri's ankle injury is less serious than feared.
The Italian striker got hurt during Sunday's 4-2 triumph over Cagliari and there were concerns he had suffered serious ligament damage.
But scans revealed no major damage, just heavy bruising.
A statement from Juventus read: "The scan done on Amauri has not shown any significant ligament lesions in his right ankle.
"The player will continue treatment tomorrow and he is expected he have a fast recovery.
"His condition will be evaluated by the medical staff in the next coming days."
Amauri will miss Thursday's Europa League match at Manchester City but could return to action in time for Sunday's top Serie A clash at Inter Milan.
