AC Milan signs midfielder Kevin Constant on loan
AC Milan has signed midfielder Kevin Constant from Genoa on loan to replace Sulley Muntari, who will be out for five to six months after undergoing surgery Wednesday.
Muntari has impressed since joining Milan in January on loan from rival Inter Milan. He was expected to sign a permanent deal, before injuring his knee during an international match with Ghana.
Milan announced that Muntari had a successful operation to reconstruct the cruciate ligament in his left knee and that the player will be out of action for five to six months, if there are no complications.
Milan has now turned to Constant, bringing the 25-year-old player over on loan, with an option to make the move permanent.
Genoa confirmed the deal on its website on Wednesday, adding that Francesco Acerbi will also move to Milan.
