Yankees' Tanaka yields homer on just third pitch of MLB debut

Japanese pitcher Masahiro Tanaka made his highly anticipated MLB debut Friday night in Toronto.

And it didn't take long for the Yankees' new prized possession to give up a home run.

Tanaka, who signed a seven-year, $155 million deal with the Yankees in January, quickly settled down and retired the next three batters, two by strikeout. He ended up getting the win and striking out eight over seven innings, while yielding three runs (two earned) on six hits and no walks in the Yankees' 7-3 victory.
