Wisconsin's Schobert named first-team All-American

Wisconsin Badgers outside linebacker Joe Schobert was named a first-team All-American Monday by the Football Writers Association of America, becoming just the third All-American linebacker in program history named to earn the honor.

A former walk-on from Waukesha, Schobert racked up 18.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks and five forced fumbles as a senior, en route to the Butkus-Fitzgerald Big Ten Linebacker of the Year award, as well as first-team All-Big Ten honors.

Schobert ranks seventh nationally in tackles for loss, while ranking 11th in sacks and second in forced fumbles.
