In his first seven starts, CJ
Wilson has been very impressive. The 29-year-old southpaw is 3-1 with a 1.48
ERA and has struck out 34 while walking only 18. On Thursday afternoon, the
Ranger starter again delivered a quality start, his club-record seventh straight
to start the year but for the third time this year when he went seven innings,
he got a no decision.
Wilson also
holds another Ranger record. He has now not allowed a home run at home in 69
1/3 innings, a truly impressive feat considering the reputation Rangers
Ballpark in Arlington has for being a launching pad.
The
southern California native is pleased with how he has pitched thus far in 2010,
but he also realizes the regular season is long and he will have many more
outings before he can be fairly evaluated.
