LOS ANGELES (AP) Jimmy Wilkins nailed his first run of the day and held on to win the skate vert title at the Dew Tour Los Angeles on Friday.
It's the first ever Dew Tour win for the 21-year-old.
Wilkins' winning run included a back lip to newt five in the air, ollie to tailgrab five, kickflip mellon, lien air, ollie 540, and a 270 switch five-oh for a high score of 88.75. Defending champion Pierre-Luc Gagnon was second with 88 points while Elliot Sloan was third with 86.75.
The contest continues with the street finals Saturday and the streetstyle finals Sunday.
