Chapel Hill, NC --- The moment Harrison Barnes asked North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams if he could hear him while using Skype to announce his college decision last fall, Tar Heel Nation has been drooling in anticipation of his arrival.

That long wait ends tonight, as the first freshman ever named preseason first-team All-America by the AP will make his formal debut in Carolina blue, as UNC hosts Lipscomb at the Dean Smith Center.

Barnes is the real deal, his teammates say. At 6-8 and 210 pounds, he is incredibly athletic, elusive, smart, unselfish, and is as hard a worker as any of them have seen. Even those who played with Tar Heel legend Tyler Hansbrough agree that Barnes' work ethic is right there with Psycho T's. Williams certainly views Barnes in that manner.

"Harrison has one thing that very few people have," Williams said. "He has tremendous discipline, tremendous focus, tremendous desire. And (he) is willing to do those little things that make him special. And he's got a charisma about him, he really does, he has a nature about him.

"When Tyler Hansbrough got here, comparing him and his freshman year with Harrison right now, Harrison is more focused than Tyler. The other thing about Tyler, is he got better and better each year with his discipline and his focus
