Peter’s Picks:
TE – Rob Gronkowski, NE (7,800)
The most productive TE in the game is featured in the game with highest over/under of the weekend. Gronk is almost a lock to score a TD and is definitely worth paying for, in my opinion.
RB – Le’Veon Bell, PIT (8,700)
Bell is coming off a monster game and finally looks like he is getting the opportunity he deserves. With Blount now on the Patriots I think Bell will get everything he can handle against the Saints and is likely to find the end zone. The fact is he is one of the best pass catchers at the RB position. I think he is easily worth the salary this week.
RB – Tre Mason, STL (4,600)
I need to save money somewhere so I love Tre Mason at home against the putrid Raiders. The game flow should work in Mason's favor and I expect him to get 20+ carries and over 100 yards, which will be good for the bonus.
Adam’s Picks:
QB – Ben Roethlisberger, PIT (7,600)
After back-to-back road games, the Steeler return to the friendly confines of Heinz Field, where Big Ben had back-to-back six TD performances. If you don’t want to spend money on Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers this week, either Roethlisberger or Ryan Tannehill are the best options.
TE – Rob Gronkowski, NE (7,800)
My opponent loves spending money on the tight end position. I noticed that I’ve tended to be on the losing end of these head-to-head matchups when I decide to save money at the TE spot. The Patriots/Packers game has an over/under of 58 total points. With New England’s running game extremely unpredictable, Gronk seems to be the safest play from Bill Belicheck’s squad.
RB – Andre Ellington, ARI (6,200)
This season, the Falcons have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing running backs in PPR formats (30 points per game). In 11 games, there have been 15 total touchdowns scored by running backs facing Atlanta. By receptions alone, Ellington is good for at least six points. He didn’t provide a lot of points against the Seahawks and Lions in the past two weeks, but Atlanta isn’t on the same level.
