Newton had never thrown four touchdown passes in a game before Sunday, and that was a franchise best. Newton threw touchdown passes to Jonathan Stewart, Mike Tolbert, Ted Ginn Jr., Greg Olsen and Devin Funchess. Newton's previous career high was three touchdown passes in a game.
