Vikings Snap Counts: Thielen guts it out vs. Eagles

Published Jan. 23, 2018 12:19 p.m. ET

A week after suffering "a couple slight fractures in his back" during the Minnesota Vikings' playoff win over the New Orleans Saints, Adam Thielen was back to his usual workload.

Thielen was on the field for all but one of the Vikings' 67 offensive plays Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, despite playing through what NFL Network's Ian Rapaport described as "incredible pain."

He was targeted nine times despite the injury, but caught just three passes for 28 yards.

The Vikings were forced to abandon the run early after falling behind, but their most versatile runner still got plenty of work. Jerick McKinnon was on the field for a season-high 81 percent of their offensive snaps. He led the Vikings' backfield with 40 rushing yards on 10 carries, and the receiving corps with 86 yards on 11 catches.

Other notes from the Vikings' snap counts:

-- Safety Harrison Smith and linebacker Eric Kendricks were the only defensive players to appear on all 65 snaps.

-- After spending much of the season battling Laquon Treadwell for playing time, fellow receiver Jarius Wright took on a more active role in the playoffs. He was on the field for 57 percent of the Vikings' offensive snaps last week.

-- Center Pat Elflein played on just 67 percent of the offensive snaps before suffering an ankle injury that will require offseason surgery.

-- Jayron Kearse saw action on defense for the first time since Week 14, checking in for one snap.

-- Listed as questionable with a concussion during the week, safety Andrew Sendejo ultimately played Sunday, but appeared on just 48 percent of the defensive snaps before suffering a calf injury.
