Vikings sign Minn. native Sinkfield to reserve/future contract

The Vikings have signed Minnetonka native and Hopkins High School graduate Terrell Sinkfield to a reserve/future contract.

Sinkfield, 25, was a three-year starter at wide receiver for the University of Northern Iowa, playing in 39 games and accumulating 1,097 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills and New York Giants in 2013 and played with the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League the past two years.

Sinkfield caught 86 passes for 1,240 yards and seven touchdowns in the CFL, including 69 passes for 1,030 yards in 2015.

Sinkfield, a running back at Hopkins, was named to the Minneapolis Star Tribune's 3rd-Team All-Metro in 2008. He was unofficially clocked at 4.19 seconds in the 40-yard dash in March 2013 at the University of Minnesota Pro Day.
