Updated NCAA tournament projections
Our partners at YardBarker.com updated their NCAA tournament projections on Tuesday and it features two teams from the state of Florida -- Miami and Florida.
Both teams currently rank top 10 in both RPI and Strength of Schedule.
The Gators (14-2) check in as a No. 2 seed in the South.
The Hurricanes (13-3), who entered the AP Top 25 on Monday and host No. 1 Duke on Wednesday night, have been inserted as a No. 5 seed in the Midwest. A victory over the Blue Devils could/should vault the Hurricanes up the rankings as well as the seeding projections.
Florida State (10-7), which started the season ranked 25th in the AP poll, appears to have some work to do if it hopes to reach the NCAA tournament for the fifth straight year. While the Seminoles' SOS is ranked 35th, as of Wednesday afternoon they rank 74th in RPI.
South Florida (10-7) is just ahead of FSU in SOS (32nd), and just behind in RPI (78th).
