The Minnesota Twins reinstated left-handed pitcher Fernando Abad from the bereavement list and optioned left-handed pitcher Taylor Rogers to Triple-A Rochester.
Abad has made five appearances out of the bullpen this season, tossing 4 1/3 scoreless innings with one hit and two walks while striking out four. He missed three games while on the Bereavement List.
Rogers made his major-league debut April 14 against the Chicago White Sox, pitching a scoreless 2/3 of an inning while allowing one hit. The 25-year-old was 11-12 with a 3.98 ERA in 174 innings last season for Rochester.
