Impact Rogers entered with one out in the eighth inning of a tie game and retired Vinnie Pasquantino to help end the frame. However, things unraveled when he returned for the ninth. The veteran left-hander allowed back-to-back singles to open the inning before a sacrifice bunt moved both runners into scoring position, prompting his removal. Justin Lawrence was unable to bail him out, allowing both inherited runners to score and saddling Rogers with the loss. After posting nine consecutive scoreless appearances, Rogers has now allowed runs in two of his last three outings and owns a 4.63 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB across 23.1 innings, adding two saves and six holds.

Impact Rogers earned the win after the Twins closed things out in the 11th frame. His overall season numbers are shaky, as he owns a 3.54 ERA with a 1.57 WHIP in 20.1 innings across 23 outings. However, he's been turning things around of late and hasn't allowed runs, nor has he issued walks over his last eight appearances (6.2 innings), a span in which he has two saves, two holds and six strikeouts.

He'll still had a decent 9.4 K/9 last season so he could be part of a committee. However, at this point it's very unclear how the Twins will divide up the opportunities to finish games among an unsettled bullpen that also includes save candidates Justin Topa, Cole Sands and Liam Hendriks.
