Tony Romo expecting better home-field advantage against Giants
Tony Romo laughed when asked if he'd been following the Cowboys' ticket sales for this weekend's game against the Giants.
"No, I haven't kept up," he said. "It's going to be great. The crowd is going to be great."
That was bound to come back to Romo after his last home game at AT&T Stadium. Following the Cowboys' overtime win against Houston on Oct. 5, he famously lamented the fact that the home team had to go to a silent count in their own building.
When asked if he'd consider buying tickets himself, Romo responded "If I need to, it would be worth it."
Don't expect to see a special Romo section when the Cowboys kick off against New York, but Romo was confident his home crowd will be much better for them this time around.
"I think our fans are going to be outstanding this game," he said. "It's going to be loud, we're going to make it very difficult, I think, in the stadium."
The Cowboys have drawn plenty of flak in their first three home games for the amount of opposing support in the building. The 49ers, Saints and Texans all has sizable contingents for their games at AT&T Stadium.

The Giants may not bring as many fans, but they do have the benefit of past success. Their 36-31 loss to the Cowboys in the 2013 season opener was their first loss at AT&T Stadium, giving them a 4-1 overall record since the building opened.
"I don't put nothing into that, but we do need to go home and protect our stadium," said cornerback Orlando Scandrick. "We need to start to create a home field advantage."
Looking at the big picture, Scandrick pointed out the need for home success - not just against the Giants, but in the coming month.
"We've got a stretch of three-straight home games coming up here, and coming out of these three-straight homes games, I think we're only going to have two home games left after the bye. We need these games," he said.
