By Andy Nesbitt, FOXSports.com Earlier this week Brian Urlacher called Johnny Manziel a punk for the way he acted on the field last Saturday. Joe Flacco went a different route and said Johnny Football is quickly becoming his favorite player. Now it's Tom Brady's turn to weigh in on Mr. Manziel. Brady, appearing on CNBC's Squak Box, was asked about Manziel's showboating ways and if Brady ever acted like that on the field. Here's Brady's response, which includes surprising choice of words toward the end of this quote:
"I get pretty emotional. I have a lot of respect for the teammates, for my teammates, for my organization, and certainly for other guys in the NFL. There's not a guy playing in the NFL who hasn't earned the right to be here, and who isn't supremely talented. He's probably been the best athlete in his high school class, in his elementary school class. So when you look across the ball you have respect for those guys, and you treat them with respect because football's a physical game. And as [Patriots owner Robert Kraft] would say, if you're a turd, it's going to come back to you."
Oh, snap. It's actually really good advice for everyone, if you think about it. Don't be a turd. It's that simple, Johnny Football.
