Tim Tebow to Dolphins rumors take off
The Miami Dolphins had no comment on Thursday regarding an Internet rumor the team worked out Tim Tebow.
Tebow was released by the New York Jets earlier this week, and word spread on the Web that the former University of Florida quarterback took a physical and worked out for the Dolphins.
The Dolphins have a team policy of not commenting on any personnel matters.
The Sun-Sentinel, citing team sources, reported Tebow did not work out or take a physical for Miami. The newspaper added a team source wouldn't rule out Tebow but the former Heisman Trophy winner "hasn't been discussed."
Tebow played two seasons for the Denver Broncos before spending last season with the New York Jets. He has thrown for 2,422 yards, 17 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.
Acquired by New York to add an unconventional dynamic to the Jets offense, Tebow hardly played during a season full of controversy behind struggling Mark Sanchez.
As for the Dolphins, Ryan Tannehill became Miami’s starting QB as a rookie last season. Backup Matt Moore was re-signed this offseason.
