Former Alabama Coach Gene Stallings (1990-96) would remind Crimson Tide football fans to mind their manners when the visiting team was attempting to run its offense. He said that he hoped the Bama fans would give the opponent the same opportunity to call its plays that it gave Alabama.
Stallings may have been crafty, actually reminding the fans that it would be helpful to Bama to make it difficult for the opponent to communicate.
That is somewhat akin to the pronouncement by Alabama Coach Nick Saban that this week
