Troy Polamalu is a future Hall of Famer and has been a mainstay in the Steelers secondary for years, but the franchise could be planning for the future. The Steelers spent a fourth-round pick on former Syracuse safety Shamarko Thomas. You remember him? He’s the guy who ran a 4.3 40-yard dash and then ate it at the NFL Combine. Thomas had a productive career at Syracuse and was named first team All-Big East in 2012. That’s great. We’re sure defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau has a few tricks up his sleeve to unleash Thomas.
