When I announced I was going to start this blog, I inquired about what kind of weekly features people wanted to see. One of the things a few mentioned was tracking the freshman class.

Now, I can't do an accurate snap count (and Wisconsin doesn't put this information out), but participation is known and this is - as well as statistics - something we can track throughout the season.
Instead of just the freshmen - very few of whom will play - I'm also including redshirt freshmen and the few "true" (i.e. non-redshirt) sophomores.

Note: Have been asked on Twitter about Vince Biegel and why he isn't a redshirt freshman (due to his injury last season). Received the following explanation from Wisconsin: "We have applied for a medical hardship and are waiting for the paperwork to be approved. There’s no real timetable on the process so until it is approved we list him as a sophomore."
