The Texas Longhorns lost their leading receiver and gained him back all in the same day.

Junior wideout Mike Davis had planned to leave Texas for the NFL Draft Thursday morning but changed his mind later in the day and will now return for his senior season.

"I am sorry for any confusion today," Davis said in a statement. "I want everyone to know that I'm coming back for my senior year. I'm excited to be getting back with my teammates, coach (Mack) Brown and the whole staff when the semester starts up next week. I'm really looking forward to another year as a Longhorn."

The 6-2 Davis led the Longhorns with 57 catches, 939 receiving yards and seven touchdowns this season. He also led the Horns as a sophomore with 45 catches.
