Texans reporter for the Houston Chronicle John McClain tweeted that Kubiak is conscious with a good heart rate with his family by his side.
He did not have a heart attack, the Texans confirmed.
NBC sideline reporter Michele Tafoya reported on air Kubiak was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. The team also told her that he did not lose consciousness. Earlier, she said he seemed to be in "extraordinary pain" and wasn't opening his eyes but was talking while he was on the field.
Sports Illustrated reported that, "He doubled over in what appeared to be considerable pain, grabbing his leg."
Wade Phillips took over as the acting head coach during the second half.
Texans GM Rick Smith said after the game on NBC, "He had an episode; he was light-headed and dizzy. He was evaluated by a number of specialists ... he is awake and coherent."
"We have to assess ... obviously, there's a lot of info," Smith said as reported by the Associated Press. "Hopefully, Gary will be back with us tomorrow."
Phillips and quarterback Case Keenum were asked about the situation after the game.
