Tavon Austin will let his Mom be the 'bad guy' with his money
Watch out, all you money-grubbing, hangers-ons. If you have your heart set on bleeding money out of Rams rookie Tavon Austin, you're gonna have to go through his mother. "One thing I learned was just make somebody else the bad man and that is what definitely I'm going to do as far as the money situation," Austin said in an interview with NFL Network. "So that definitely will be my mother, she is definitely up for the challenge and she is ready to pretty much tell people 'no.'" Austin's comments comes after he attended the NFL Rookie Symposium, the annual extravaganza that teaches NFL pups the basics of being a pro: how to spot gold-diggers, how to brush your teeth like a boss playa and most importantly, how to be financially prudent. Which means simply, not buying five houses. Nor do you need six cars. Plus, make sure to keep the flock of sudden "close friends" and "relatives" away from your money. That's where Tavon's mom comes in. But don't get him wrong, it's not like he's gonna turn into Ebenezer Scrooge or anything like that. "I definitely will help a lot of people too, you know, I'm not one of those type of people who forgets where I came from and just acts like I'm better than anybody else," Austin said. "But definitely there is a certain amount of times where it comes to a point where you have to say 'no' and she'll be that person that'll be dealing with it." Exactly, help out the people who truly deserve it. The rest? Don't let the door hit them on the way out. Tavon Austin isn't running a charity here.
