Swine flu fears abate in India camp

India pace bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth had recovered from swine flu, while other team members had been cleared of the virus despite suffering flulike symptoms on Saturday, a state health official said. Sreesanth, who tested positive for the H1N1 virus on Friday, and opening batsman Gambhir will miss Saturday's second and final Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka. Sreesanth was admitted to hospital on Thursday night with swine flu, while Gambhir was tested for the virus after compaining of high fever and flu symptoms, said health official G.C.Bansal. Team video analyst Dhananjay (who uses one name) was quarantined in his hotel room and team manager Mayank Parekh was hospitalized with similar symptoms. However all three tested negative for H1N1, G.S. Walia, joint secretary of the Punjab state Cricket Association, told The Associated Press. "Sreesanth was likely to be discharged from hospital after two, three days," said Deepak Bhatia, another heath official.
