Six Packers win fan vote for Pro Bowl
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Pro Bowl voting is over for fans, and the Packers are well represented in the final tallies.
Six Packers won the fan-vote at their position in the NFC: Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (777,827 votes), outside linebacker Clay Matthews (343,514), fullback John Kuhn (181,820), strong safety Charles Woodson (117,230), center Jeff Saturday (312,013) and kick returner Randall Cobb (131,626).
Rodgers was the fifth-highest vote-getter overall, behind quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, as well as running backs Arian Foster and Adrian Peterson.
These six Packers players won't necessarily be the starters in the Pro Bowl game on Jan. 27, 2013, because the teams are chosen based on a combination of votes from fans, players and coaches. Of course, if the Packers are in the Super Bowl on Feb. 3, none of them will be participating in the Pro Bowl anyway.
The announcement for which players made it onto the 2013 Pro Bowl teams will be unveiled on Dec. 26 on the NFL Network.
