Russell Westbrook sings along with Taylor Swift

If Russell Westbrook's 2012-13 playoff experience were a Taylor Swift song, it would probably be one of her earlier hits, "Teardrops On My Guitar."

That's because the Oklahoma City Thunder guard probably thought he would be playing tonight in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, not sitting at home, blasting out Vines.

Westbrook injured his knee during the first round of the playoffs against the Houston Rockets. Westbrook had to have knee surgery, ending his playoff run and subsequently ending the Thunder's as well when they were knocked out by Memphis in the next round.

So on Thursday, Westbrook decided to give us a little update through social media as to how he was recovering. But unlike other athletes who have chronicled their recovery process by posting updates and videos of their rehab, Westbrook went shirtless and busted out his best Taylor Swift.

Using his crutch as a guitar and sporting a large wrap around his right knee, Westbrook gave us the opening line of Swift's new hit song "22."

Westbrook proves a few things here:

1. When it comes to singing, his voice is right up there with Swift's.

2. His awesome postgame fashion does not translate well to home.

3. His knee injury has not wiped the smile off his face.

So, while we don't really have a great update on his injury, Westbrook at least looks like he is in good spirits.

It's just too bad he didn't hit record at the right time so we could get him singing a few more lines.
