Ronny Turiaf to throw first pitch at Twins game
MINNEAPOLIS -- Ronny Turiaf is everywhere these days.
Less than a week after arriving in Minneapolis to begin his tenure with the Timberwolves, the jovial, veteran center will throw out the first pitch in Monday night's game against Detroit. And that comes on the heels of cameos at the Lynx playoff game Friday night and the Vikings' contest against Cleveland on Sunday afternoon.
Nothing like getting acclimated to the local sports landscape early.
Minnesota signed Turiaf as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. Now 30 years old, he'll play for his seventh team in eight seasons.
Monday night, he'll show his new home what kind of arm he's got -- besides long. Checking in at 6-foot-10 and 249 pounds, Turiaf boasts a wingspan of more than 7 feet.
