RG3 turning Cowboys fans into Redskins?

RG3 turning Cowboys fans into Redskins?

When the Washington Redskins selected Robert Griffin III with the second pick of the NFL Draft, they took a player who was the face of a school deep in the heart of Dallas Cowboys country.

And now the team is looking to capitalize on the success of RG3 as they try to gather "new" Redskins fans who are not ready to jump off the Griffin bandwagon just yet.

In the middle of green and gold Nike shirts and bears dressed as cheerleaders on the shelves of the Baylor bookstore, you'll now find the unfamiliar site of burgundy and gold hats.

The bookstore has begun selling Washington Redskins hats. And at the gaudy price of $36 dollars, it looks like Redskins owner Daniel Snyder is trying to recoup as much of his investment in RG3 as soon as he can.

The campus of Baylor University sits in Waco, Texas, a mere 100 miles away from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, and it's probably the only place in Cowboys country where buying Redskins gear might be justifiable — but just barely.

No word on if or when the bookstore will start selling RG3 jerseys.
