Reports: Cavs offer Bynum a two-year, $24 million contract

As Sam Amico reported yesterday, discussions between the Cleveland Cavaliers and center Andrew Bynum were very serious and "very real".

We found out just how real last night with the revelation that the Cavs have offered a two-year contract worth $24 million. The contract includes a team option for the second year.

As Sam pointed out yesterday, the Cavaliers are looking for a quick decision on Bynum's part. They have already started to circle centers Andrei Kirilenko and Elton Brand as options should Bynum elect to go elsewhere. Bynum, who was traded to the 76ers last season but did not play a game, is headed to Atlanta and Dallas to talk with those teams, although Atlanta isn't considered as serious a threat as Dallas.

A possible good sign for Cleveland is that a decision from Bynum is expected by some today. We'll see. At this point, however, where Bynum lands continues to be a mystery.
