Free-agent forward Shawn Marion has met with the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to multiple reports.

Marion, 36, has spent the past five seasons as the starting small forward with the Dallas Mavericks. He spent the first eight years of his career with the Phoenix Suns. Current Cavs general manager David Griffin filled various front-office roles in Phoenix when Marion was there.

It is believed Marion met with Griffin and Cavs coach David Blatt on Monday. Marion is an unrestricted free agent, able to sign with any team without the Mavs being able to match an offer.

He averaged 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds in 76 games last season.

The Cavs have already signed free agent forward LeBron James and swingman James Jones, both previously of the Miami Heat, as well as swingman Mike Miller (Memphis Grizzlies).

Both Yahoo Sports and ESPN reported Marion's visit with the Cavs.
